WMATA Office Consolidation
New Carrollton Office BuildingProject Overview
TDC provided Construction and Technical Program Management to JACOBS for the new WMATA office building at New Carrollton, Maryland. The scope included an 11-story design-build project as part of an office consolidation initiative which reduced the number of WMATA office buildings from 10 to four, saving an estimated $130M over the next 20 years.
TDC Construction Management support team was specifically engaged in the management of low voltage specialty vendors who implemented the Parking Operations Control Center, Secure Storage for Metro Transit Police Department, AV systems, Sound Masking, Electronic Security and Distributed Antenna Systems. The successful partnership between TDC and JACOBS was key to delivering the project on time. TDC and JACOBS complemented each other to identify critical activities, engage the right set of resources, and develop solutions to keep the program on track.
The TDC portion of the program was led by a dedicated team responsible for the execution of the program.
