Project Overview

As a result of a seven (7) year Blackman Jones federal consent decree, the District of Columbia was required to implement a new Special Education Data System. TDC was responsible for managing the resolution of all data related aspects of the consent decree. TDC was responsible for the development of all technical requirements, and the verification and validation of the vendor implementation of the OSSE Special Education Data System. TDCs services included oversight of training, testing, and traceability of requirements in support of the implementation of the vendor configured and hosted solution.

TDC was responsible for the development of all technical requirements, and the verification and validation of the vendor implementation of the OSSE Special Education Data System. TDCs services included oversight of training, testing, and traceability of requirements in support of the implementation of the vendor configured and hosted solution. TDC was responsible for the development of custom reporting utilities for a broad base of users including special education coordinators, teachers, administrators, service providers, and parents as well as the design, implementation, maintenance and management of interfaces to legacy and other education data systems of the District of Columbia, Charter, and Non-Public schools. The TDC team consists of project managers, developers, analysts, and engagement personnel who championed beneficial use of newly implemented data tools within schools and amongst school stakeholders.
