Performance Period

Description of Work Performed

The platform provides a 360-degree view of residents, healthcare providers, case reporting, and disease investigations. It leverages advanced technologies such as AWS Services, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Tableau, Informatica MDM, Informatica Power center, and Oracle database to achieve these objectives. The Disease Surveillance data engine ingests various types of data including disease, patient, case investigation, and provider data. It used Informatica MDM for data cleansing and duplicate elimination, ensuring high-quality data management. The solution was crafted with insights from Public Health clients, best practices, and the CDC’s guidelines for surveillance and investigation.

TDC has supported a multi-vendor team and provided the technology services in areas related to strategic planning, software development, and applications support and maintenance to accomplish the following key project activities:

  • Data Integration: The Disease Surveillance data engine is designed to ingest a wide range of data, including disease-specific data, patient records, case investigation reports, and healthcare provider data. Data Cleansing and duplicate elimination: Utilizing Informatica MDM, the platform ensures data is clean and duplicates are removed, thereby maintaining data integrity.
  • 360-Degree View: The Salesforce solution integrated into the platform allows for a comprehensive view of residents and healthcare providers. This is crucial for effective case reporting and disease investigations. Workflow Automation: The platform automates various workflows, making it easier for healthcare professionals to manage contact tracing and disease investigations.
  • Technology Stack: The platform leverages a robust set of technologies including AWS Services, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Tableau, Informatica MDM, Informatica Powercenter, and Oracle database to deliver a flexible and efficient solution. User Experience Enhancement: Accenture also supports DC Health in managing and enhancing the Salesforce platform for Food Management and Professional Health License, improving the overall user experience.
  • Compliance and Security: The platform is compliant with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI). Public Health Best Practices: The platform is designed based on lessons learned from other Public Health clients and adheres to the CDC’s guidelines for surveillance and investigation.
