TDC also supports the Mid-Atlantic Emerging Technology Consortium Initiative which strives to improve STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Math) opportunities with in the urban communities in the Nations Capitol, Baltimore and Philadelphia. TDC has senior consultants who are working with the National Urban League to improve education and global economy participation in underserved communities.
Accountability, Governance and Strategy
The discipline of IT governance focuses on the connection between the business goals and IT management of the organization. As a customer undergoes transformation and defines ways for its leadership to make informed decisions about leveraging IT investments that are needed to enable that transformation, TDC helps design—or redesign—effective governance practices.
TDC's governance staff assists executive-level decision makers in allocating resources and providing ways to optimize solutions. We participate in the development of effective governance processes, implementation methods, and the preparation of guidance documents. We focus our efforts on the proper balance of business autonomy and commonality for maximum results and savings.
Strategy is all about defining direction, and it takes solid organizational knowledge to make it work effectively. Without appropriate strategies in place, organizations find it difficult to achieve a good balance between keeping a clear focus on longer-term intent and maintaining the flexibility to shift tactics and implementation when business changes demand it.
